Singing in the rain....
I'm singin' in the rain * Just singin' in the rain
What a glorious feelin' * I'm happy again.
I'm laughing at clouds. * So dark up above
The sun's in my heart * And I'm ready for love.
Let the stormy clouds chase. * Everyone from the place
Come on with the rain * I've a smile on my face
I walk down the lane * With a happy refrain
just singin' * singin' in the rain
dancin' in the rain...I'm happy again... I'm singin' and dancin' in the rain...
(song lyrics from Singin' in the Rain by Freed and Brown)
At least the peonies are... singing and dancing that is. They're just
reaching their peak blossoms. The white "Maxima" peony isn't far behind.
And even in the rain, I can't help but be happy when I look at these peonies, covered in rain droplets. And perhaps now, if you're in a grey and dreary spot, you too are happy and humming to a little memory of Gene Kelly or for younger readers, perhaps Glee.
Thankful it's a short work week,
PS - Rumour has it (or was it the weatherman) that we are to have sunshine and 70's this weekend....

ReplyDeleteI "happened" on to your blog through Meadowbrook Farm. I am very new to blogging, mid May being my first posting. Since then I "look" now and then at other blogs, and like I said, "happened" on to you. Serendipity it is, LOVE your photography, your design and so much more. What really had me "over the moon" was "What A Wonderful World"! Hearing Louis Armstrong as I viewed your photos was the best.
ReplyDeleteNot sure what I need to do to keep following you, but I will figure it out and do so.
I am feeing thankful to have visited you . . .
Love, Lynne
