A bit of vintage fun for the weekend....
Many of you may know that I love to collect vintage holiday and party things.
And the 4th of July or American isn't excluded from that list. I've collected a number of vintage small parade type flags, a paper "uncle sam" hat, a starry swanky swig, star baking tins, and colored game pieces... along with my everyday milk glass it makes for a colorful holiday display.
And we Americans can go a little overboard at times, especially with our national pride.
Everything in red, white and blue.
Colors that are symbolic to us. So it's fun to bring it all out to celebrate our nation.
I hope you had fun checking out my vintage goodies.... and welcome to the beginning of a long weekend,
PS... And least I forget, wishing a Happy Canada Day to our neighbors to the North.

Hi...I saw a comment you left on Anita at Going a Little Coastal and loved the name of your blog. When I was a kid my favorite book of all time was Nancy Drew's Secret of Red Gate Farm. So I popped in and looked around and love your blog. I've told Anita that when I win the lottery and buy my dream home, I'm hiring her to decorate it. She's patiently waiting! haha. Nice to meet ya. Living in Spain, I am always on the lookout for americana-ish decor. The poker chips are look perfect! Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteGreat decorations Chris, and I so envy your red, white AND blue which packs a pretty punch. Our red and white is kind of plain in comparison.
