The most beautiful time of the year....
If there's Thanksgiving Thursday... Black Friday... Cyber Monday... then Saturday must be Christmas Decorating Chaos. I've been lugging each of my 19 plastic storage bins from the basement, well to be honest 2 of the 19 were lugged by my son, to start my holiday decorating. But that's ok... this is actually one of my favorites days of the year....
This morning bins were everywhere... half unpacked.
By the evening I at least had the dining room finished. Tree and all. The rest of the room will have to wait for pictures....
The living room, kitchen, breakfast room and back porch are done as well. But the front porch, were our "real" Christmas tree (that is actually a fake tree) goes is still a bit of a disaster. Since the lighting is pretty much nonexistent out there, it will have to wait until tomorrow.
Plus I'm feeling a bit like this guy right now.... a little tired and worn out...
Hope your Thanksgiving weekend continues to be fun and fabulous,

Your house looks like my house! But, I'm getting there (after all, I only have 12 bins!). I love how you display your vintage finds. I'm looking forward to seeing more. I think it was at Christmas last year that I found your blog!
ReplyDeleteI love the little tree with all the white lights...our kids like the colored ones, but there's something cozy about white!
ReplyDeletejust beautiful. i love white lighting. very cozy & that has been what i've always used on our tree. i love just staring at the tree & day dreaming. (maybe a little night time dreaming as well. ha!!)
ReplyDeleteYou are further along than I am but . . . I am in the process.
ReplyDeleteCreating is such fun isn't it? I have several of the Santa cups with various facial expressions and winks. Plus I have a large pitcher with the matching Santa face. It was "a find" from the early eighties.
Do you do "live" trees?
I remember those Santa Claus mugs, we had them when I was little. So cute!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love your tree in the dining room reflecting in that gorgeous mirror. I CHRISTmas'ed my home yesterday too -- boy I was pooped at the end of the day but it feels so good to have it all done. Looking forward to seeing the rest of yours :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings!

My daughter and her fiance lugged the rubber maid boxes down from the attic for me yesterday and I got off to a very slow start. A CD of Christmas music, a cup of Christmas tea and I was off in my own world for a couple of hours.
ReplyDeleteI tree in the dining room is so nice. I love the white lights! Plus your tree skirt!
ReplyDeleteWell you definitely had a fun and productive weekend! Can't wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteThe decorating is killing me...I really need to cut back, but I love it so much, when it's done that is!!! I'm starting to see the light...another full day and it should be done. Did I mention I started last Tuesday? help...
