FINALLY!!!!!

Tom Petty, you were right....

"The waiting is the hardest part".   But they're finally ripe and ready to pick... tomatoes AND cucumbers from my garden.  And soon...

I'll have tomatoes galore to make more of this...

The middle of August and finally I've got cucumbers and tomatoes ready in the garden.  My two favorites.

If you too garden, I hope you are enjoying the fruits of your labor... well not just fruits, but veggies or flowers too.

  1. Oh those look great! Our tomatoes are starting to wane. I have a few left but the plants are starting to droop! I hope they get a second wind. I should feed them huh?

  3. NIce! We had a neighbor share some of her tomatoes and cucumbers with us last week... they were delish! Yours look great too, and all of these bountiful gardens on blogs are convincing me that we may need to put in a garden next year. :-)) Thanks for the inspiration!

  4. It sounds like you have been busy as a bee! Your tomatoes, fresh and canned look beautiful. I canned a few jars of tomatoes this year for my first canning experience. It was a rewarding accomplishment which I hope to repeat next year. Shannon

  7. My fav's too. We're enjoying the last of the cukes but I've still got plenty of green tomatoes on the vines.

  9. I am so envious! It looks like we'll get few vine-ripened tomatoes this year, due to the cool, damp summer. It's a good thing I have lots of ideas for green tomatoes!
