It's beginning to look a lot like...

I saw my first Christmas/holiday commercial last night.  It was for Sears.  I'm not sure when the holiday season started as soon as Halloween was over... but it has.

I'm not complaining, actually I'm a bit of a Christmas fanatic.  I love, love, love Christmas time.  Love the decorating, the music, the hustle and the bustle.

That said, I thought I'd pass on how I know that the holidays are upon us...

when you see the holiday magazines in the stores or your mailbox,

or the Christmas tree display at True Value is all aglow when we leave the Peach Palace (yes, it is raining as usual),

but most of all, I know the holidays are here, when Starbucks debuts it's Christmas cup for the season.

Wishing everyone a "merry" weekend,
Chris at Red Gate Farm

  3. Christmas is in the air here too!!! And like you, I LOVE IT!!! We've even had snow not too far North of here (which is the only time of year I appreciate it, in and around the holidays). This coming Thursday night will be my first 'official' Christmas Event as our local nursery is holding its Christmas Preview Party, by invitation only! It's always a nice evening with all their trees decorated on on display, wine and cheese and the carols playing.
Have yourself a "Merry" little weekend too! xox

  4. I know, can you believe it! I am ready for Christmas too, and I honestly can't wait to start decorating....but man, as soon as New Year's is done, I'm tired of the decorations! I actually drove past someone's house yesterday and saw Mr. and Mrs. Claus looking out the window!

  5. Chris, you are so right...it's here. I keep saying that we will see Christmas commercials after the 4th of July at some point in the future or perhaps they will just go year round :) LOL I love that picture of the old tree. My family has similar ones too. For some reason, I can't find live trees today with that wonderful shape. I love it. Merry Weekend to you too :)

  6. We drove home tonight only to see a wee Christmas tree in the window of our old, single, creepy-ish neighbor guy!

So sweet that he's already got the bug. ;)
