Fabulous Fall Friday
Today I had the day off, from everything. While I waited to meet my mom, I noticed what a beautiful Autumn day it was.
The trees are starting to change, the sky is a beautiful blue.
We were heading to an antique and craft fair, where I was so enthralled with everything that I totally forgot to take a picture of anything.
Then we were off to my favorite thrift store, where I found some vintage Christmas wrapping paper for .49 cents.
Then it was Chinese for lunch. My fortune was already coming "true".
To the ReStore for remnant vinyl flooring; many, many feet of vintage wood molding and a bathroom towel rack... all for under $41.00! All of these fantastic, salvaged deals are for the Peach Palace.
After going through a quilt/fabric store, we stopped for a little pick me up.
Another quick stop for the BEST apple cider, made here, from Honeycrisp apples. If you could drink an apple, it would taste like their cider.
To another, larger farm that specializes in pumpkins, apples, gourds and a little later Christmas trees.
We headed into the little bake shop.
Of course we didn't leave empty handed, apple cider doughnuts, fresh and WARM. Yummo.
Finally, back to where we started in Lynden, to my favorite antique store.
I really loved this little truck trailer in the window. Chris is actually my middle name, my first name is Ruth, so I have a "thing" for Baby Ruth items.
A view from the upstairs bargain room.
It was a nice way to spend a beautiful day.
Happy fabulous fall Friday to all,
Chris at Red Gate Farm

I am so wishing I could have 'tagged' along on your Fabulous Friday! Everything looked so wonderful ~ from the perfect Autumn weather, to the great company and food! What a great start to your weekend. Today I'm attending one of the last outdoor antique shows in our area. I always get so excited (and forget to take pictures too)! I've been up since 6:00 a.m. ~ waiting for the sun to peek through so I can walk the dogs and then we can head out. Hope you have a great weekend! xox
ReplyDeleteMe too! I'd love to visit the other 'Lynden'! Looks like you had a great day and I love the deals you picked up for the Peach Palace.. that price total is great. I love deals like that!

It sounds like the perfect fall day spent with you mom, Chris. Thanks for sharing all of these great pics with us! I wish I had some of those yummy donuts to go with my coffee... haha! ;-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday!
~ Jo :)
Sounds like a wonderful way to spend a fall day. I love apple cider but have a hard time finding good stuff anywhere around here, and apple cider donuts? Would love to try one of those! Glad you enjoyed such a great day.
ReplyDeletethank you thank you thank you~ i have been working so much lately in the woods that I have not had a shopping "fix" in such a long time ~ you just took care of that with your post!
ReplyDeleteI also LOOOVE those fair handouts - I would be tempted to cut out the background and use it in some scrapbooking project (yes, feral women scrapbook - but only when they can break the acid-free paper rules...)
Sounds like you and your mom had a great day. I have been longing for apple cider and I think your post may have pushed me enough to go out and get some this afternoon. Those donuts look heavenly. Since things have been so busy with me too, I have been catching up and I just finished reading your post about your dogs. We are all so lucky to have such wonderful animals in our life. I love your pictures, especially the one where they are looking out the window. So very cute! Have a great week...it looks like you are making progress with the Peach Palace!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful way to spend the day. Good for the two of you!
ReplyDeleteI love that farm--those pumpkins look amazing and unique. Great times.
