Our four legged friends

We have three dogs.  Two big, one small.

The small one is old and crabby.  Very.  Crabby.  But I guess at almost 14 years old, she deserves to be a little crabby.  Her name is Molly and she is a miniature dachshund.  Her favorite pastimes seem to be sleeping or getting into the garbage.

The two big dogs are a yellow lab and a black lab.  And yes, we are crazy, they are allowed inside... even on the furniture.

Cady is the yellow lab.  We have had her since she was a puppy, what a cutie she was the day we brought her home a little over 5 years ago.  Cady is probably the happiest dog on the planet and RUNS everywhere she goes.  I wish I had her exuberance for life, it is simply amazing.  She is also very large for a female lab and yet, she is afraid of every little noise she hears.  She also suffers from separation anxiety, so we got another dog, Kasia the black lab.

She was about 1 1/2 when we got her from a military family that was about to be deployed, she will be 5 in December.  She is much better behaved than our other two dogs... I suppose that should mean something to us... hmmm.

Cady and Kasia are very good buddies.  Molly, not so much.

  1. I LOVE your dogs! They are all so very precious and I love all the photos ~ especially of Cady & Kasia sleeping all sprawled out, side by side! I'm a HUGE dog person.

  2. That is HI-LAR-I-OUS! We have a yellow lab/golden retriever mix, and a black rotweiller/german shepard mix. They are male and female and drive each other CRAZY most of the time, but other times are the best of friends. Funny how dogs are right. They just eat up your hearts! I don't know what I'd do without either of them! Yours are all adorable. I suppose if I was 98 in dog years I'd be crabby too! :-)

  3. My sister and her husband commute to my town for work so several times a week they will just stay with us. And so do thier chiwennie (doxie & chiwawa mix) and chocolate lab. The lab sheds like crazy, not sure how you do 2 of them. But they love to spend time with their cousin Claire so they have a great time!!

  4. You have very adorable dogs! I like the last photo of the two labs looking out the window. So cute! Kellie xx

  5. Oh I just love your four legged friends. I agree, once that old a little crabbiness is acceptable. My 11 year old dog gets away with it so I am too easy :) LOL
The two labs are precious. The pictures of them sleeping and looking out the window were wonderful. How sweet--best buds. Thanks for sharing :)

  6. Oh, how sweet! I enjoyed catching up with you today. And your 4-legged friends/family are just absolutely adorable. Big hugs to them! I love everything you've done to your house. It almost gives me hope for ours, but truly ours does not have the "good bones" thing going on at all.

Have fun on your day off also.. I know how precious those days are. Savor every moment :) -Tammy

  7. Just saw this post (since I've been otherwise occupied for the past month)... What a great photo of Molly! It's amazing how much smaller Freyja is than her....

Please, feel free to leave a comment... it really makes my day! Chris
