Renovation Reality

Does anyone watch the show Renovation Reality?? On HGTV or DIY??  Needless to say, lately I feel like I may be trapped in the "mini series" of the show.  They never seem to finish on time or on budget.  Now I'm seeing a little bit of what they must go through, well except for the TV camera aspect.  Fortunately for me, there is no TV camera... I'm not always looking my best!

Last night we stopped by the Peach Palace to get a couple of items completed.  One was to paint the hinges for the kitchen cabinets... and the screws that went with them.  Five screws for every hinge, two hinges for every door, 35 doors - if my math is correct that is approximately 350 screws.  The best way to paint screws is to poke them into cardboard, my thumb is still sore.  It took quite awhile even with two of us, to poke all those screws into the cardboard.  Of course it only took about fifteen seconds to spray them!

We're gearing up for a FULL day tomorrow, with a long list (of course) of things to get done.  I'm ready.

ENJOY your weekend,

  4. It's going to look amazing once it's done. What a huge job, but worth it in the end. Can't wait to see the final.

  6. What a difference! I know you must be exhausted but your reward will be great! I guess like childbirth...painful but forgotten when you get the finished prize!
