Today

Finally, I was able to get back into my sewing room.

It had been a disaster since June, when my daughter moved home from college and left 10 days later to move to Toronto.  I'd really been procrastinating about getting all of the stuff she left behind packed up and stored.

I've had a lot of projects in mind but I turned this...

into this...

I enjoyed being creative again... I didn't use a pattern or picture to make my pillows.  They're "just me".

  1. Hey!!!! OHMYGOODNESS - your pillows & bag are GORGEOUS! It's 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning and I'm home alone this weekend (except the dogs) and my plan is to spend my spare time sewing. But ... I'm struggling with EVERYTHING and you spend one day and create all of these!!! They are stunning - seriously - I love them all. Why do you have to live so far away? I'm in dire need of a sewing buddy. BTW - the vine growing up my arbor is morning glory which DID NOT BLOOM!
Have a great weekend and you've inspired me to keep trying in the sewing department ~Lisa~

  2. I love the look of them, and I love that you just whipped them up without a pattern. The heat here in NW Indiana has me in the house - perhaps I should dust off my machine......

  4. Love those pillows, so cute. I think my sewing mojo is coming back the summer has been killing me. Love all of the fruit and veggies from your garden, the beets and beans are beautiful!

  5. And you sew too! Wow, those are beautiful. I think it's time you moved to the other "L" in Ontario.
