I'm a list maker...

I have to confess... I'm a habitual list maker.  I make a list for just about everything.  I'm not really sure when I started doing this... it seems like it started innocently enough.  The back-to-school sales and the needed school supply lists... you know pencils, pens, erasers, glue...  Then I progressed to the grocery store list, the Christmas presents lists - ones to buy, who to buy for ... I mean I couldn't remember where I hid all the gifts, so I needed a list to be sure I hadn't missed one.  Then of course you need the Christmas projects list.. the candy and cookies to make list... the holiday card list...

Now I make a list everyday before I leave work of what I want to do the following day.

I have a list of projects to complete around the house and gardens... of course this list has been changed and updated many times in the 5 1/2 years we've been here.

I have a books to read list.

And lets not forget the party lists... we had 2 big parties this past summer.  One for my daughter's college graduation/going away and a 50th anniversary party for my parents.  I practically had lists of my lists... I needed one for the decorations to buy, make or just ideas... the menu... what ingredients were needed and of course the guest/invitation list.

And one final confession, I must admit... I even have a list of future blog post ideas!  No kidding...

  1. Lists are so necessary in our busy lives. At least you're organized. Have a great day!

  2. Haha! I'm the same exact way! I make more lists than probably necessary, including of future blog posts. Except, now most of my notetaking is conducted on my Blackberry. Where would I be without it.

Should we start chapters of listmakers anonymous?

  3. I will join the club of listmakers! It's the only way I can get things accomplished. However, I have been known to make a very precise list and pay no attention to it...somehow, I don't think that's the purpose of a list!!!

  4. I just bought a pretty new notebook yesterday for my lists - I was tired of using the little yellow note pads and decided I needed an upgrade. Looooove my lists - they make me happy!
