Memories of a beautiful summer
As the days grow shorter and we ease into Autumn, I thought I'd share some summer memories...
cherries
finally, flowers on my clematis
peonies, enough said
happy pink gerbera daisies
my fav, raspberries
what's summer without sweet peas
love the late evening light
Bellingham Bay
my new, free, windmill
my finished dining room cabinet
poor little peach tree, bending under all that weight
Burgermaster, best old fashioned, greasy burgers on the planet (and it's a drive-in, eat in your car kind of place)|
flowers at the garden center
Summer may be short, but it sure is sweet.

Those are all lovely, happy memories. Summer is a great season, almost a slower paced time. We too have an unbelievable burger place that we discovered and visited quite often this summer. It's not a drive-in but you do sit and eat in your vehicle. Ahhhh, the season is so fleeting but maybe that's why we "stop and smell the roses" and cherish it so much while it's upon us.

love the pics especially the gerber daisies and the dining room cabinet...made me laugh! We are still in the 100's here in Arizona...what I wouldn't give for one cool day...
ReplyDeleteSheryl over at Ain't for City Gals sent me over to your blog and I'm glad she did. What a beautiful blog you have. I'll be back to nose around some more when I have more time.
ReplyDeleteChris, thanks for the little journey into your summer season! I envy you so much of that. Living in AZ we don't get all of it...but I really felt like I was there with you! Lovely.
ReplyDeleteCherries and peonies please!
Such wonderful and pretty summer memories. I'm holding on to summer, not quite ready for fall to appear yet. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI still cant get past the burger place in your summer list lol I love drive ins!
