Blogiversary Week, Day 5 - Vintage in the Garden

As many of you know, I am crazy about vintage.  I collect many vintage items such as party goods and decorations, holiday (especially Christmas) decorations, kitchenware, linens, milk glass, flower frogs and this list can go on and on.  I like to incorporate vintage in my gardens too.

My chippy chickens look right at home at Red Gate Farm.

A birdhouse my husband and son built me, out of our old barn boards, for Mother's Day.

Some vintage fencing for plant support and backdrops.

My fantastic vintage lawn chairs.

A bench my dad made for me, also out of our very own vintage barn boards.

A cute child's chair, turned into a flower pot holder.

An old milk can becomes a bird bath.

And I want to share my vintage love with you today....

today's giveaway addition is a vintage flower book, cute vintage metal flower pot, vintage flower frog (I love to use mine to hold up cards too) and a unbelievably cool, vintage inspired flowered garden hand tool.

Hoping to inspire a little vintage in your garden,
Chris at Red Gate Farm

PS - Don't forget to check out Days 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the giveaway. And here are rules that I posted on Monday, January 24th.

  13. Yipee ... another FUN day at Red Gate Farm! I'm still drooling over all your photos! I love how you've incorporated so many rustic & vintage items into your garden! It adds so much personality and charm and makes it ONE OF A KIND! We have some old farm implements & tools (hubs likes to collect those) but just don't have any room in our urban garden to display them. SOMEDAY I say! Enjoy your weekend! xox (February is just around the corner)!!!!!

  18. Hi Sweetie...
I love vintage everything. Such a beautiful giveaway and this book is TDF.

Now I love the way you took that childs chair and turned it into a planter. Oh does that scream HAPPY? I love it.

Love the chippy rocking chair of yours. I remember them in such beautiful colors and have been wanting a red one of my very own. I keep looking. Looks gorgeous.

That bird house that your husband and son built is just beautiful. I love it, and it looks so pretty. Then to be made from barn boards makes it all the more special, as well as your bench.
